She is a Registered Nurse in the State of New York and an Instructor in the Public Health Department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She also designed workshops and lesson plans on self-advocacy in healthcare settings for limited literacy audiences.
Kelsey created Our Hearts Grow LLC after her own heart was forever changed by her journey to motherhood. Her journey involved infertility, IVF, loss, a high risk pregnancy, and giving birth to an amazing child who happens to have a congenital heart condition.
“During my journey to motherhood, I faced enormous challenges that centered my mind, my body, and my child. I desire to help others encountering similar challenges by writing informative and emotionally sensitive health content and resources. I founded Our Hearts Grow LLC to do just that.” - Kelsey
Her personal journey and professional interests have led her to create Our Hearts Grow LLC. Her writing honors the emotional complexity of challenging health experiences while being evidence-based, educational, sincere, and hopeful.
